2013/video installation/5 min. loop
An anonymous man and woman slowly weave in and out of the various rooms of a two story loft, never speaking and always eclipsing each other. The ambiguity of their relationship forces the viewer to question the meaning of their presence in the home, as well as the cyclical nature of relationships in specific spaces.
A visual cat-and-mouse game, TWO STORY seems to hint that the various people who inevitably come in and out of your life can leave an imprint that will never quite go away.
This existential ghost story is the second in Frank Mosley and Lee Luna's Four Seasons Quartet and stars Whitney Lee, Mosley, and the voice of Farah White.
The film was invited to premiere on looped exhibition in the c3 gallery at the Dallas Museum of Art, as part of their fall 2013 Late Night Series. I guest lectured that evening about Edward Hopper's influence on my filmmaking to coincide with the DMA's current exhibition of his drawings. You can read a transcript of that lecture here.
Called “powerful” (Chris Bell, The Playlist) and "entertainment worth investing in" (Peter Simek, D Magazine), it was also listed as "one of the top ten essential exhibitions" at the 2014 Edinburgh Art Festival (The Journal, Scotland).
